January 2006
IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN...
As the end of the financial year draws near, you may have money in your training and development budget which is as yet uncommitted, and which might be 'clawed back' into central funds if unspent.
We are happy for you to 'invest now, claim later', if that might suit you. You can pay for any number of days (discounted for volume) in this financial year, but take them in 2006-07 - and at current prices, too.
If this appeals to you, please phone or email Caroline for more details.
EXCITING NEWS...
We don't want to give too many details away at this stage, but after 16 years, we feel our image is perhaps looking a little tired, and
we are bringing it up to date. This will mean a new look to our brochure, logo, and even our name. So as they say - watch this space!!
THE HEINEKEN FACTOR...
We want to be like Heineken, and reach parts of the organisation that others may not reach. We are never quite sure if we are in touch with everyone with responsibility for training and development decisions. So we'd like your help. Is there anyone in your department or organisation, other than yourself, who we should send this email to, and who would welcome a copy of our new brochure? We would really appreciate it if you could provide contact details.
SKILLS 4 LEARNING
One of our exciting new developments has been to develop a suite of courses targeted
specifically at secondary schools (though they have relevance beyond this target group). They have been grouped under the heading 'Skills 4 Learning', and they are being co-ordinated by a member of our team, Julie Olsson.
The Skills 4 Learning suite consists of 7 one-day programmes:
- Coaching skills
-
Building learner involvement, attention and recall (BIAR)
-
Motivating learners
-
Motivational interviewing (MI)
-
Accelerated learning
-
Emotional intelligence
-
Performance coaching
If you would like full details, and a brochure, please contact Caroline, and she will send one to you.
We are also running open courses in the next few weeks on some of the above. The dates are:
- Coaching (1 & 9 February)
-
BIAR (2 February)
-
Motivating learners (9 February)
-
MI (21 February)
-
Accelerated Learning (23 February)
-
Performance coaching (27 February)
-
Emotional Intelligence (1 March)
All the programmes are in the North West. If you would like to attend, to gain an insight into the programmes, contact Caroline, who will provide you with the details.
